If you just downloaded and installed Wordpress, you know that they give you a password to login with. However, once you’re logged in, you can change it to whatever you please.

To do so, simply login to your wp-admin (http://yoursite.com/wordpress/wp-admin/) and click on “Users” on the top menu.

Then click “Edit“, as shown below:

On the far bottom right of the page, there is a title that says “Update User’s Password” in blue. Type in your desired password twice where it instructs, then click ‘Update User’. Finally, when you login next with that user, you can use your new password instead of the default!
